About Cambio Physio

Catherine Davies
Physiotherapist
Your practioner:
With over 10 years of experience as a physiotherapist, a trained semiprofessional dancer, trained massage therapist and pilates instructor, and someone who is also hypermobile, neurodivergent and lives with chronic illness, I believe I bring a unique understanding of the body to your physiotherapy experience.
My approach blends hands-on treatment and assessment, pain science, neurological and musculoskeletal physiotherapy interventions, and pilates based rehab principles to help people feel safer and more in control of their bodies.
I am a firm belief in the power of conservative care, whilst balancing referring for surgical or specialist opinion when indicated.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Sc (Physiotherapy)
- Curtin University 2014
- Cert IV in Massage Therapy
- Cert IV in Pilates Instruction (Mat & Reformer)
My physiotherapy training was completed at Curtin University, where I was offered to be a part of the Honors program for my academic strengths. I’m hard working, and always strive to be up to date as possible as our understanding of best practise is ever evolving. I’m keen to offer you the best most up to date care I can.
Extra curricular:
Dance has been a gigantic part of my life, lifelong. I trained professionally in ballet and contemporary, studying full-time at Wesley Institute (Sydney) before beginning my Bachelor of Dance at WAAPA. Eventually, I decided to keep dance as a passion rather than a profession. Dance still plays a major role in my approach to movement, rehabilitation, and injury prevention.
I’m also an avid hiker and have just one year ago completed the bibbulmun track end to end (Albany to Perth). Too much to say about that so I’ll stop that there. I also really enjoy bouldering and pole dance so if you’re hoping for a physio with a bit more of a nuanced understanding there, come say hi!
Adaptive Dance Classes coming soon:
I’m currently exploring the idea of setting up a nearby space to Cambio Physio for “ex-dancers” with chronic disease or injuries. This would offer a softer, more fluid contemporary class with less impact and energy expenditure. Something that not only serves others but also supports my own chronic health needs.
Watch this space!

About The Space

Cambio Physio is designed to feel different from the typical physiotherapy experience:
Less clinical, more personal
From the moment you walk in, you’ll be welcomed into a warm and relaxed environment where the focus is on listening first. Sit on the couches, or the floor, lets talk and figure things out, and then dive in.
I take the time to understand your story, your body, and your goals, ensuring every session is thorough, thoughtful, and tailored to you.
My approach blends hands-on care with movement-based therapy, helping you track progress, loosen up tight areas, and build awareness of how your body moves.

What to Expect in Sessions:
A Mix of Hands on Therapies and Independent Movement – With a pilates reformer that transforms into a treatment table, sessions can start with hands-on assessment and treatment to check in, relieve tension, or refine movement patterns before seemlessly transitioning into Pilates-based exercise therapy.
A Gym Option for Long-Term Progress – There’s a 24-hour gym downstairs (with locations across Perth), and if it suits your rehab, we can gradually integrate gym-based training into your plan. I provide guidance on gym exercises, home programs, and strength progression tailored to your needs.
Hydrotherapy Support – If water-based therapy is right for you, I can help plan and progress hydrotherapy exercises for pain management, mobility, and strength, all without needing to step into the pool during our sessions. With years of face to face experience in hydrotherapy, I can confidently provide personalized guidance in-clinic, equipping you with the right exercises and techniques to use in the water independently.
One-on-One Pilates – Whether for rehab, hypermobility management, or dance performance, Pilates is a powerful tool for building control, body awareness, resilience, and movement confidence.
Physiotherapy shouldn’t feel one size fits all. It’s a process you’re actively part of. My goal is to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and support to feel stronger, more in control, and able to move with ease.
